Veen, Leonardus Wilhelmus
Worked at PZH from Sep 1908 until Nov 1928

Leonardus Wilhelmus (Leen) Veen was born in 1885 in Nieuwer-Amstel near Amsterdam. He is selected for military service in December 1904, when he is living in Amsterdam and working as ceramics painter. He married in May 1908 in Amsterdam (where he still lived and was registered as ceramics painter) and moved to Gouda in September of that year. It is likely he started to work for PZH as he is registered as ceramics painter. Three children were born but his wife died in May 1914. He moved to The Hague in July with his children but they move to Amsterdam within 2 months, likely to live with family. He married his second wife in The Hague in March 1915. They moved to Gouda soon after the wedding where he is once again registered as ceramics painter. His oldest son from his first marriage joins them and three more children are born, one dies within 3 months. He continued to be registered as ceramics painter till the moment he and his family moved to The Hague in November 1928. There the trail goes cold for now. Source: TGPB (1910-1929), own research
