Kwinkelenberg, Lambertus Joh.
Worked at PZH from mid 1900 until after 1928

Lambertus Johannes Kwinkelenberg was born on 16 October 1886 in Nieuwer Amstel near Amsterdam as son of a deck hand. But it seems his father had joined a family business as he quickly became the captain of a steamboat. In later years the father appeared to have managed the business after his oldest son took over as captain. A newspaper article from 1925 mentioned his 25th jubilee with PZH, so we know he started in 1900. The 1920-1938 register gives his profession as a ceramics painter, but by then PZH is not the only ceramics factory in town so we cannot say for sure where he worked. By 1938 his parents have passed away and Lambertus is still is unmarried and lived at the parental home. He passed away in Gouda in 1964.

His early work as a pupil is often signed with the monogram of a master painter.
